R. Ian Lloyd Productions was founded in Singapore in 1983 to produce professional photography in the Asia-Pacific region for commercial and editorial clients. A stock photo library was established to offer Ian Lloyd's photography to clients worldwide and a publishing division was added later to publish and distribute books photographed by Ian.
